Honda retirará 304.000 vehículos por defecto en bolsas de aire

TOKIO (AP) — Honda Motor Co. retirará 304.000 vehículos en todo el mundo por bolsas de aire defectuosas que podrían inflarse con demasiada presión en un accidente y generar posibles lesiones o la muerte, anunció la fabricante automotriz el viernes.

Honda indicó que hasta ahora se han registrado 20 relacionados con este problema, entre ellos la muerte de dos personas en Estados Unidos en 2009.
La automotriz japonesa anunció el viernes el retiro, que afecta a los modelos Accord, Civic, Odyssey, Pilot, CR-V y otros, fabricados en 2001 y 2002.
El retiro del mercado incluye 273.000 vehículos en Estados Unidos, 27.000 en Canadá, cerca de 2.000 en Japón y otros 2.000 en otras partes del mundo.
